Low, tough hybrid kangaroo paw with red-orange flowers, one of the most drought tolerant.

Part of the Bush Gems series of hybrid kangaroo paws, bred for garden reliability and better resistance to ink disease than the wild species. 'Bush Ranger' is low and compact, with bright red-orange flowers, and copes with drought and light frost.

Planting

Full sun with good air movement in well-drained soil. Space 50 to 60 cm apart.

Pruning

Cut each flower stem at the base once it finishes. Remove old, blackened leaves in late summer.

Care

Water through dry spells while flowering and feed lightly in spring. Divide crowded clumps every few years in autumn.
